Adrian Quetglas

Born in Buenos Aires in 1968. With Majorcan father and grandparents, home environment and cuisine was always very “from the island”.

As a teenager, Adrian came to Mallorca and began his restoration work in Ca’n Arnau, as a waiter. His interest in cooking and the advice of the cook took him to Paris, where he worked at La Cuisine de Marie-Blanche de Broglie. From there he went to London, where he continued his work and training in Quo Vadis, the famous Marco Pierre White restaurant in Soho.

After returning from UK, again in Mallorca, Adrian meets his first real master and great friend Marc Fosh – English first chef to receive a Michelin star in Spain – and began working with him in the Read’s hotel. They travel together to Moscow in 2005, with Marc returning to Mallorca and Adrian staying there for 10 long years in which he has led and directed the kitchens of some of the most important restaurants of Russia: Cipollino (2005), Twelve Grapes (2009) the Grand Cru (2009), The Sad (2010), 16th Line (2011) and AQ Kitchen (2015), the latter as co-owner. Twelve Grapes is selected as one of the top 100 restaurants in 2010 by S. Pellegrino. In 2014 in Moscow he writes and publishes the successful culinary book Tapas.

Also in 2015, Adrian opens his most personal project, Adrian Quetglas Restaurant in Palma de Mallorca. Currently, Adrian lives between Moscow and Mallorca, home of his wife and two children.
